DG 51 is a new generation ultrasonic thickness gauge. Small and light weight, it features long operation time and a high degree of accuracy. DG 51 offers a wide range of functions including echo-echo technique for painted surfaces, autocalibration through automatic probe recognition, data logger, and wide gain adjustment.

DG 51 is designed for both standard measure-ments as well as for complex applications such as thru-paint echo to echo measurements. DG 51 is well suited for use in all applications where a detailed data report has to be produced. In the field it is often crucial for the operator to adjust the gain according to surface condition and/or the state of corrosion. DG 51 provides a wide gain range (≈ 40dB) with V-path correction for carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium. This assures a high degree of accuracy.  Correct coupling and underthickness display indications are also provided with display freezing of minimum value detected.

DG 51 is available sealed for underwater use.
